Lightroom’s cross platform support allows photographers to effortlessly work on projects from any Windows or Macintosh computer on-location or in the office. Lightroom-spend less time at the computer, and more time behind the lens, doing what you love.

Lightroom Beta builds on the success of the first Lightroom beta program and provides photographers with early access to our next release so that you can kick the tires and ensure that this release meets your needs. Lightroom Beta expires at the end of August 2008.

Enhancements that can be found in the Lightroom include the following:
￭ Localized corrections – Enhance specific areas of an image for unsurpassed nondestructive flexibility and control reminiscent of the traditional darkroom dodge and burn experience.
￭ Improved organizational tools – Find the images you need quickly and easily.
￭ Multiple monitor support – Add an additional monitor to efficiently manage photographic workflow and presentation.
￭ Flexible print package functionality – Create custom layouts containing multiple sizes of a photograph on a single page.
￭ 64-bit support – Lightroom 2.0 now takes advantage of the latest hardware architectures with improved memory handling and performance.

Lightroom is Adobe’s effort to engage the professional photography community in a new way, giving you the opportunity to kick the tires and shape the feature set of a new tool being created just for you. Ultimately, we want Lightroom to be truly built from the ground up by photographers, for photographers, helping solve your unique workflow challenges.

Adobe Lightroom is a new, exciting product built from the ground up for professional photographers. It is an efficient, powerful way to import, select, develop and showcase large volumes of digital images.

Adobe Lightroom will allow you to spend less time organizing and sorting images, so you have more time to actually shoot and perfect them. The Lightroom program aims to get direct product feedback from the photography community, via our new Adobe Labs web site, so that photographers will have an impact in what Adobe actually ships.

Windows XP SP3 Lite Netbook Edition (185Mb Only)

Windows XP SP3 Lite Netbook Edition | 185 MB

This edition of windows is slipstreamed with service pack 3, and is perfect for low powered laptops, old desktops and netbooks. It is only 185mb, and when I tested it in Vmware, it took 11 mins to install. It uses 85Mb of ram on first bootup, and on face value, the normal things seem to be there e.g. games, paint, calculator etc. Obviously the upgrade feature has been removed from this cd, so you have to do a clean install.

6000 Sound Effects

Over 6000 Sound Effects in Popular categories including: Animals, Appliances, Cartoons, Computers, Explosions, Machines, Nature, People, and More
• Original Royalty Free Sound Effects
• Locate Sounds in Seconds
• Sounds for Professional and Personal Needs
A Review:
Quite why someone would need seven different sound effects of snoring, or the clicking noises of an Eastern Grey Kangaroo, is a mystery, but 6,000 Sound Effects is nothing if not thorough, and, at best, it’s worth several chuckles.
This CD-ROM is aimed at those who want to use sound effects for presentations, on Web sites, desktops, or just for fun.
Divided into nine categories–explosions, machines, household, animals, nature, cartoons, people, windows, pot luck–the sound effects are also searchable by keyword.
The Explosions category is chock-a-block with various war-related sounds, ranging from old-west style shootouts to the eerily realistic sounds of an air-raid nuclear siren.
Household noises range from the scrumptious sound of bacon frying to the spot-on rendition of brushing teeth, perhaps useful for a dentist’s Web site. Highlights of Animals is the positively diabolical growl of the Tasmanian Devil and the Persian Cat’s plaintive meow, though Bach causing a dog to bark is very Stupid Pet Tricks.
Nature has its share of feel-good sounds–brooks babbling soothingly, crickets on a hot summer night–and weather porn: tornadoes, hurricanes, and a cold hard wind straight out of Little House on the Prairie.
The Cartoon and People sections are rather gag-centred: boings bonks and beeps, or the sound of a kiss, scream or slap. 6,000 Sound Effects is good value for money for those designing jokey Web sites, cheesy presentations, and comical sounds for the desktop.
